Immunization & Wellness Care
We strive to prevent illness whenever possible and encourage a preventive approach to your pet’s medical care. We will assess your pet’s risk and make recommendations for testing and vaccination to help provide the best medical care for your pet. We also offer wellness plans to make the best care affordable now, with low monthly payment options.
Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained healthcare team and veterinarians are available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.
Illness doesn’t always have a physical cause. We can assess your pet’s needs and if necessary, refer your pet to a trained animal behaviorist who can help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior. As a team, we can create a treatment plan that will provide the best outcome for both you and your pet.
We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: fully trained veterinary and technical staff, to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; heated surgical blankets for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after surgery care and full blood testing.
Lasers are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures, and are useful for a wide range of conditions, such as cyst, tumor, and wart removal, and can even be used in declawing. Laser procedures result in less pain; less bleeding and less swelling. They reduce risk of infection and result in less post-operative discomfort.
Regular professional dental cleaning is important to maintaining your pet’s overall health. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental assistants polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Digital Dental radiology is available to ensure complete dental care is available to your pet.
We utilize digital technology for our radiographs, providing a superior image for the veterinarian to review. Board-Certified veterinary radiologists are also often used to compliment the quality of care we provide and help ensure an accurate diagnosis.
Sometimes conditions arise that require veterinarians with specialized training. We recognize the importance of utilizing these specialists to ensure the best care for your pet. We have a wide network of veterinary specialists available should referral be necessary.
Acupuncture is one of the four branches of traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. It is a tool that can be used in conjunction with conventional medicine to improve your pets quality of life in many disease processes, and also in preventative medicine. The most common uses of acupuncture in veterinary medicine are pain management and anxiety, but acupuncture is also very useful in many chronic internal medicine diseases. Acupuncture involves the insertion of thin sterile needles into specific points on the body in order to cause a therapeutic effect. Ninety-five percent of patients are comfortable with this therapy, and due to the relaxation effect, some animals will actually fall asleep during their acupuncture treatment.
This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available. When an ultrasound is necessary, there are several trained veterinary ultrasonographers in the area that can be scheduled to come to our facility and provide the service.
Emergency & Critical Care
In any emergency, seconds count. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center for any after-hours emergency. Remember, we are open until 11pm on weekdays to be available for your pet’s emergency.

Our Coastal Area Thyroid Treatment Clinic can administer radioactive iodine which is the only non-invasive, curative treatment available and it can be performed right here at our office.
We are available to schedule house calls if you are unable to bring your pet to the clinic. Advance scheduling is needed and availability is limited but we will make sure your pet doesn’t miss out on the best care available.
